Cheers to yet another new and prosperous year ahead! And cheers x2 to a wonderful year we’ve just left behind. I have to say most of the excitement from 2012 –for me– occurred in the last two months of the year. A fantastic new client, Vineyard Vines, scooped me away on a trip to the beautiful island of Antigua. It was in early November that I was able to spend 5 days in paradise with the VV team.
I will go back in a heart beat!!! As I’m sure would the rest of the group.
But for now, I get my VV fix when I shoot with them in Connecticut for their online catalogues. And it’s definitely a burst of sunshine in it’s own kind of way

After returning from the Caribbean, Jarrod and I made way for a most savory Denver thanksgiving. As to be expected, it was filled with family, food, shopping, relaxing — so many things that I love — and all of them at a surplus

Now the last bit of Nov was a bit of a scramble – what with a work trip to Seattle (a beautiful city!!), followed by work in Wisconsin, followed by a *pick-up-the-bedroom-and-move-super-duper-quickly* back in NY! (Thank you a bazillion times to a hard working bf who did most of the heavy lifting) Yep – that last bit – I really mean moving on! Jarrod and I made a great move into Manhattan from Brooklyn on December 1st. Ahhhhmazing. BK served us well, however, my heart found itself easily settled in here from the moment we signed off on our new place!

Not long after we became situated we were greeted by a visit from Jarrod’s fam and friends from CO (pictures to follow of their visit in the delightful NY Christmas season). And part of that visit included rocking out at the Rolling Stones 50 Year  Anniversary tour in Jersey!! (Thank you Jayne!!!)

Not even a full breath later, Jarrod and I made our way up to zee homeland!!!! Canadian Christmastime! My most favorite time of the year. And this year being no exception! The entire Nelson side reunited in SK for one of the most memorable Christmas’s yet. I am so thankful to have been able to see the entire Nelson fam all together again for the holidays. Beautiful.

After many hurrah’s and good cheer, I finally nestled back into the *barely lived in* new apt here in NY.

Ahhhhhh… exhale.

This year is to be a good one! January has already been a fantastic start. As for the next 11 months, I have set out to attain a few specific goals– I shall let you know what they are when they are attained! And yes. Will power. They will happen!
