I’m thankful for…

I am so thankful for my new computer!!! Ah! Finally!!

I can post new photos!!!

Yes. Putting full blame for no website picture updates on the absence of a computer this summer. A whole summer. Without my electronic life. Actually, I’m blaming my lack of all posts this summer on the fact that I was computer-less. Yep :)

But hey.. it sure as heck makes me appreciate having one sooo much more!

:D

Below: Picture of me and the wam bam fam. Taken at Kalamalka Lake this summer!! There’s another ‘I’m Thankful’.. SO thankful to have been able to make it back to Canada for the yearly family vacation to Kal Lake.

Miami!!

Hey new readers!

I’ve just arrived to Miami 5 days ago. Today I finally have a chance to sit down and spill my excitement!

Day 1: From airport straight to the agency. Run in to talk to the Wilhelmina crew, find out I have 2 castings to make it to in less than an hour. Run into the apartment, drop off my bags, scramble to find an outfit. Dash out as fast as these legs can take me to the castings. Made it!! They were great. Soaked up the sun on my walk home to meet my 1st roommate – she’s wonderful!

Day 2: Gather my thoughts. Get ready for the big Halloween bash! Extremely neat-o. Costumes were beyond anything I have ever seen.

Day 3: Oct 31! Hang poolside for a few. Then Halloween part two. Crazy masses of people in full costume roaming around Lincoln Road Mall. Another night of quite the sights!

Days 4 & 5: Crazy jumble of castings and new roommates! Running around in the heat from A to B to C to Z.

There are now 4 of us girls here in our model apartment. So far so good.. just getting pretty darn cozy. By friday, all 5 of us will be settled in! Everyone seems to be shaking their heads “Lacey, I dunno how you’re gonna do it.. 5 girls..” But hey, I’ve got to at least give it a chance right? There are a lot of cool cats out there, we could be in for quite an awesome ride tucked in so close together.

As far as Miami itself goes. I am damn happy to be here. It is gorgeous beyond belief. The people here are always smiling and most seem happy as pie to be alive!
